Mission Roll Call Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (this “Policy”) explains how Mission Roll Call (“MRC”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, and otherwise processes information that we collect.  By accessing any of our websites that refer to or link to this Policy, including https://www.missionrollcall.org/ (each, a “Site” and, collectively, the “Sites”), or by using or participating in any products, services, or programs that we make available (including any podcasts, webinars or similar offerings) or that otherwise refer or link to this Policy (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Policy.

We may add to, modify, or otherwise update this Policy from time to time in our sole discretion by notifying you that a new version of this Policy has been posted to the Site.  You should review this Policy for any additions, modifications or updates each time that you access any of the Sites or use any of the Services.  Your use of the Sites or Services following any additions, modifications or updates to this Policy constitutes your acceptance of such additions, modifications or updates.

 

Information We Collect

In connection with the Sites and Services, we may collect the following categories of information:

 

  • information you provide to us, including your name, your contact information (e.g., email address, phone number, postal address), and other demographic information;

  • responses that you provide to surveys that we make available to you from time to time;

  • information regarding your use of the Sites and/or Services, including information regarding your registration for and attendance of programs and/or webinars that we make available; and

  • any other information that you provide or otherwise make available to us in connection with the Sites and/or Services.

We may also automatically collect general, non-personal, statistical information about the use of the Sites and Services, including how many individuals visit a specific page on the Sites, how long a visitor stays on such page, and the hyperlinks visitors click.  We collect this information by using cookies, log files and other similar technologies (as further described below).  This information represents a generic overview of visitors to our Sites and users of our Services.

While we do not collect your payment information (e.g., credit card number, expiration date), we use a third-party service provider to process payments through the Sites and Services.  Our third-party payment processor will collect your payment information in connection with your purchases.

 

You may choose not to provide certain information to us, but as a result you may not be able to take advantage of some of the features of the Sites or Services. 

How We Use & Share Information

We may use the information that we collect for the following purposes:

  • providing and administering the Sites and Services;

  • personalizing the Sites and Services for you;

  • fulfilling any requests made by you via the Sites or Services, including handling contact and support requests;

  • enabling your access to and use of the Sites and Services;

  • improving, modifying or enhancing the Sites or Services, including the user experience;

  • promoting the security of the Sites and Services, including verifying accounts and activity, investigating suspicious activity, and enforcing our policies;

  • managing event registrations and attendance,  and planning and hosting events or webinars for which you have registered or that you attend;

  • sending you communications, including marketing communications regarding products and services that may be of interest to you; and

  • complying with legal obligations, including cooperating with public and governmental authorities, courts or regulators and pursuing remedies available to us.

We do not disclose your information to third parties, except:

  • when we have your permission to make the disclosure;

  • where the disclosure is necessary for the purpose for which the information was obtained;

  • to our third-party service providers in order to provide services to us (including processing payments, sending marketing communications, email delivery, targeted advertisements, and other business operations);

  • to sponsors and co-sponsors of events which for which you register or which you attend or otherwise access;

  • to third parties with which we market and advertise;

  • where permitted by applicable law or when the disclosure is necessary, in our discretion, for the establishment or maintenance of legal claims or legal compliance, to satisfy any law, regulation, subpoena or government request, or in connection with litigation; or

  • as otherwise disclosed in this Policy.

Additionally, in the event we are acquired by, or merge or consolidate into, another entity, or if there is a sale of our assets (including in bankruptcy), your information may be transferred to the entity acquiring us or our assets or that survives the merger or consolidation.  You acknowledge and agree that in the foregoing circumstances, your information may be disclosed to such third party.

Cookies, Web Beacons and Other Tracking Technologies

We use technologies, such as web beacons, pixels, tags, and JavaScript, alone or in conjunction with cookies, to gather information about the use of our Sites and Services, including how users interact with our emails. The use of this information-gathering technology allows us to store and attempt to honor your preferences and improve your browsing experience. You can control the use of cookies on your device but choosing to disable cookies on your device may limit your ability to use some features on our Sites and Services.

The Sites and Services also may use log files. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, type of browser, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track a user’s movement around the Sites and Services, and gather demographic information. 

In addition to our own cookies, log files and similar technologies, we may engage third parties (e.g., Google) to use their cookies, log files and similar technologies to report to us usage statistics of the Sites and Services, deliver advertisements on and through the Sites and Services, and for other similar purposes.  Google Analytics, for example, uses cookies to track your interactions with our Sites and Services.  Google collects information and reports it to us, without identifying individual users. Security

We use organizational, technical, and physical measures that we, in our discretion, deem appropriate to help safeguard your information collected and stored by us.  However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of the information collected and stored by us.  We also cannot guarantee that information you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted to us over the Internet.

For your convenience, our Sites and Services may contain links to other websites, applications and services maintained by third parties (each, a “Third-Party Site”).  The information practices of such Third-Party Sites are governed by their privacy statements, which you should review to better understand their privacy practices.  Any reference or link to a Third-Party Site does not constitute or imply its endorsement by us, and you assume all risk with respect to its use.   

California Do Not Track Disclosure

At this time, we do not respond to browser 'Do Not Track' signals.

International Users

Our Sites and Services are intended for individuals located in the United States. If you are located outside of the United States and access the Sites or Services, or submit your information to us, you do so at your own risk and choice.  United States law may not offer the same privacy protections as the law of your jurisdiction.  If you visit our Sites or use our Services or contact us from outside of the United States, please be advised that (i) any information you provide to us or that we automatically collect will be transferred to and processed in the United States; and (ii) by using our Sites or Services or submitting information to us, you explicitly authorize its transfer to and subsequent processing in the United States in accordance with this Policy and United States law.

Use by Minors

We do not knowingly collect any information about children under the age of thirteen.  If we become aware that we have unknowingly collected information from a child under the age of thirteen, we will make commercially reasonable efforts to delete such information.
